Seek His Face!

Psalm 27:8 says:

"My heart says of you, 'Seek his face!' Your face, LORD, I will seek."

I also like the way The Message renders this verse:

"When my heart whispered, 'Seek God,' my whole being replied, 'I'm seeking him!'"

The Lord is always looking for the response of a soft and open heart. Often he rebuked the people of Israel for their "hard" and "callous" heart (Zechariah 7:12; Matthew 13:15).

In Ezekiel 11:19, the Lord comes with His solution:

"I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh."

The Lord wants this "undivided heart" to be expressed today. He wants this "heart of flesh" to respond to Him.
